40 Dollars and Coffee-machine as Ransom for Kidnapped Cat

Thieves agreed to give back a stolen Siamese cat only when the cat’s owner paid a ransom at the rate of 40 dollars and a coffee-machine.

The Siamese cat was stolen in the Argentinean city of Cosquin. Owner of the cat, Christine Gonzales says that the cat was kidnapped from a garden in front of the house; as soon as it disappeared, the owners had numerous telephone calls from the kidnappers. At the beginning, those people demanded a ransom at the rate of 200 dollars; however after negotiations with the family where the cat lived, the people agreed to bring the animal back for 40 dollars and a new coffee-machine. Almost 35 policemen were involved in the investigation of the cat’s kidnapping.
