Chinese homosexuals exist!!!

The Chinese authorities have recently exposed the results of the research devoted to up-to-date homosexuality among Chinese males. Such information has been published in China for the first time in history; it has been considered a tabooed subject before.

The authors of the researched have interviewed quite a number of Chinese men who did not feel ashamed to speak about their homosexuality. Four hundred homosexuals were enrolled in the research.

One of the main subjects of the report was the risk of HIV infection spreading among Chinese homosexuals. About 75,000 cases of HIV infection were registered in China last year.

A voluminous part of the research was dedicated to relations between homosexuals with different educational level and social status, as well as the views on this specific kind of relations in the Chinese and European world. The scientists also examined their methods of self-expression. In the course of the research the notion “homosexual aesthetics” was determined.

The report contains 15 chapters. The research was sponsored by the Ford Foundation.

The scientists concluded that on the whole the Chinese had become more tolerant towards homosexual relations. For example, the first festival of Chinese homosexuals took place last December of 2005.
