Little marten terrorizes big trade center in Russia
A marten was terrorizing a trade center in the Russian city of Ufa for about a month. Surveillance cameras caught the presence of the wild animal, who had apparently wandered into the trade center form the woods.
Security guards noticed the small nimble predator darting around all corners of the trade center looking for prey. Having caught and eaten all mice in the trade center, the marten started “plundering” expensive stores of the complex. The animal preferred to sleep on fur coats in the wholesale department, marking the coats with its excrement in the daytime. At night the marten would gnaw leather shoes.
It goes without saying that it was extremely difficult for security guards of the trade center to catch the little mischievous predator. The center's administration was forced to invite a professional hunter to stop the daily “looting.” It took the hunter three days to lure the little marten into a trap. The animal was taken to a vet hospital and then released into the woods.
