Football club owner wants to become Jesus Christ
 Gigi Becali, the owner of a Romanian football club Steaua from Bucharest, has placed an order for a picture with a local artist. Mr. Becali would like the artist to paint something inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper." The football club owner would like to be portrayed as Jesus Christ surrounded by his 11 disciples represented by players in this case. A coach should be the 12th disciple to be depicted in the picture, according to the owner.
The news about yet another escapade of the eccentric businessman gave rise to some controversy in Romania. Even most loyal fans of Steaua are afraid that he could be accused of blasphemy, Newsru.com reported.
"Giving money away to the church and the poor is one thing, and Mr. Becali has long deserved gratitude of the Romanians for his charity," 7 Plus quotes a source close to the football club's owner as saying. "But this time he drew a comparison between himself and Jesus Christ, and I do hope that his kinky gesture will not be construed as a blasphemy," said the source.
